You guys may has seen my thread on the CP7920 I picked up on ebay.. I finally got the configuration software, and got the phone setup...

Now the trouble I'm having is on the PIAF side. I setup the t*f*t*p server, and put the cisco configuration files there. All well and good. The phone sees the t*f*t*p, and reads the config files, but, it never connects to the sccp daemon on port 2000.

Not being a linux dude, the only way I know to test if a TCP daemon is up is to telnet to it and see if it connects... and it does not on either 127.0.0.1 or my public IP on port 2000...

I know sccp is loaded into asterisk... when I question the version command I get back:

SCCP channel version: 20071213

I lost as to why the daemon is not running.

Thoughts?

Disable the firewall momentarily and see if that fixes it. If so, we can work out the line to add to the config.

disable-iptables

enable-iptables <-- don't forget this one after the test :wink5:

iptables makes no difference...

I don't think the daemon is running... how can I tell?
