Dahdi downgrade

OK I have a slight problem - well actually for me at this moment quite a big one. :rolleyes5:

I am setting up a fresh production box for an install I need to do start of next week. I have a sangoma A101 card to use with it. I did the PiaF install inc. update-scripts and fixes.

I have ran wanpipe driver install which basically throws a wobbly and outputs errors about missing files. I have chatted to sangoma tech support who advise me that the current wanpipe driver doesn't support Dahdi ver 2.4 but they are about to in the next couple of days, release a new driver that does support ver 2.4

That was on Monday and no driver released yet.

So my question - can I downgrade dahdi to ver 2.3 so I can install current wanpipe drivers and get my system built?

A quick search on here suggests modifying update-source14 or update-source16.conf files in /usr/local/sbin and then running update-source but I can only see update-source and that file is machine code.:confused5:

Any suggestions on how to downgrade it would be great thanks.

Kevin

Yes it does have the dahdi source files. I actually have ver 2.3 on my in-house system, so I have the 2.3 source files there.
If I copied them across to the new box and then ran make (not sure what exactly I would need to type) would that do the job?
Wouldn't doing this perhaps break something else in asterisk as the rest of the system is up-to-date?

If it's a minor downgrade, probably safe, but you should look at the upgrading instructions for the one you're on now to make sure there was no incompatible change.
