I would like simple directory support for our Aastra phones but I do not want to use CSV. I have the Aastra XML scripts installed, but the instructions on getting them to work are a little confusing. Could someone explain if its possible to pull the directory information automatically from the phone system?

There are 2 XML scripts that deal with directory. The directory.php script pulls the user/extension information from FreePBX automagically. This is the one you most likely want to use.
The contacts.php allows one to search a csv file for directory information.
