What do you all give a customer on a new install? Do you have "cheat sheets" with all the feature codes listed? Instruction "books" on how to transfer calls, park a call, etc.?? More and more I am getting asked for documentation and I have none. All of the documentation I have is for installing and administering the system. They don't want that. They want the usual "how to" stuff that comes with commercial phone systems for the average user sitting at their desk. They are sitting at their desk, they see a new phone sitting there, now what?

Part of the problem with end-user documentation is that it really needs to be phone-specific to be of much value to most end-users. Not a lot of end users are going to get into memorizing dial strings like *98701 or *72345. :wink5:

It would be nice if some of the phone manufacturers stepped up to the plate with some docs that could be easily tailored for specific PBX systems.

Make some YouTube videos and the customers will love it.
Instruction Manuals in the age of Google and Youtube ?
or if you have your own site ... embed the video on your site.
