Wondering if anyone here has any experience with these ATAs?

They appear to come in both FXO & FXS models and range from 2 lines to n lines.

I am looking at a four line FXS ATA and a two line FXS ATA to replace some aging SPA units.

Its hard to beat the Grandstream HT-802v2 with 2 FXS ports or the HT-814v2 with 4 FXS ports. I've had no experience with the Fanvil units.

I understand, but early on I had a terrible experience with what I term CrapStream. Since that time, I just refuse to use their stuff. Up till now it's been LinkSYS(Cisco) and Audiocodes.

I understand. I believe Grandstream has greatly improved their products in recent years. They are pumping out new firmware for phones and ata's very frequently. But hey, I still have an unlocked Linksys PAP2T that my fax is connected to. The things just keep working.

I've used the Grandstream HT-802's in remote situations because I can remotely update and change them using Grandstream's free GDMS software in the cloud. Their devices (unless blocked by local firewalls) are always available to the cloud administration. I have heard of people finding the HT-814's to be too difficult but if you use the GDMS cloud, its pretty straight forward.

So there are pros and cons. Sometimes, its worth $50 to bury the hatchet and try something to see if they will now meet your needs. Get it from Amazon and if you still think it sucks, return it.

Fanvil gets high ratings in my book because they're an official 3CX partner so they add the 3CX SBC router code into select desk phones firmware.

Plus, their phones are affordable, e.g. the V62 router phone is 49usd on amazon. I've used their doorbell SIP phone and it works fine.

If you're not sure of that GA100 ATA then buy it from a seller that has a 30 day return policy, give it a thorough test during this period, if it fails or if you hate it, then return it, and post back here to share back your results.
