Hello,

We are using Incredible PBX 2020 PUBLIC, if there's an extension using the wrong id/pass or the wrong FQDN the User IP will be banned.

My question is, can we whitelist an IP coming from an User Extension so he doesn't get banned ? The reason for this, we are using a mobile app with push notification and what it does is it's making any extension connecting using this app will use the same IP address, so if one of the users have the wrong information everyone will stop connecting because the IP server of the push notification mobile app will be banned.

Thank you for you help and special thanks to Ward Mundy for his work!
Edit: Thanks again for a quick answer

Edit /etc/fail2ban/jail.conf and add the IP address to the end of the ignoreip line. Save the file and restart Fail2Ban: service fail2ban restart

Hello @TechDVR
can you please share your experience about push notification how did you implement this
appreciate if you can share the experience and configuration scenario.

Regards

Hi Sheraz14
We don't have our own push notification server, we are using one from a mobile app (vfone).

So, a related question: I'm putting together a new server at Crown Cloud.
They will have the IPBX 2020 to install. However, many of my clients will have
different IPs, and some will be mobile devices. Is there a clear process to make
IPBX 2020 Public? (just follow the additional steps?) I have one Public PBX on vultr
and it is working fantastic.
