TIPS Incredible PBX Code Collaboration

As for licenses, you'll find the individual component licenses here: /usr/share/doc/*/copyright

And the overall licenses for Incredible PBX are available here: /var/www/html/admin/licenses
These are available by clicking on the Click here link in the footer of the footer of the Dashboard.

The Incredible PBX license repository is updated periodically and is available here and in individual repos on pCloud.
You should always download from our link in your code to assure your users have the latest license versions.

One final tip (and this is not legal advice), if you host other folks' code in your repo, you're going to find yourself in serious trouble down the road because code in the open source community is not static and it will ultimately bite you in the :asshole:.
You do no host "other people's code" you are hosting code that is contributed and part of the project.

This package is in the official repositories. Run apt update and then apt install software-properties-common.
Not any more, it was removed from the Debian 13 repos. Debian doesn't support PPA repos, those are for Ubuntu. software-properties-common was a hack on Debian and never fully worked due to bugs in the Python code. It was removed from Debian 13 due to the amount of bug build up. Plus it doesn't work well is deb822 resources.

When you put in both of Sury's Debian and Ubuntu PHP repos you cause conflicts and while apt is trying to update php8.2-cli for Debian instead of looking in the Debian repos it's trying to use software-properties-common to look at the PPA based Ubuntu repo and it's causing problems. Debian and Ubuntu don't use the same core libraries and that can cause issues.

We've never had a problem with the Sury repo in our installer.
You are referring to the Ubuntu repo yes? Because both have been installed before and previously it the package was supported in Debian but it no longer is in Debian 13.

Feel free to document any problems you encounter with our installer. As for the new installer, these are design choices you get to make when you roll your own installer. The challenge is (1) to get all the pieces to work together and (2) to assure that they're still working a year or two down the road without breakage. At the moment, the original Incredible PBX 2026 installer works just fine. The proposed changes break things. But that's "the work" we were discussing when this dialog began. Best of luck!
