I say remote in quotes becuase technically all are remote since it is hosted in rack nerd VM...I think I know what needs done in this case but want to know if there is a different way of doing it, or a better way - or maybe i'm just a moron and should approach totally differently!

I installed IncrediblePBX via the instructions at this link: https://nerdvittles.com/a-new-year-introducing-incredible-pbx-2021-for-debian-10/

and love everything about it.

Now, I need to install IP Phones at other locations that are on different WAN addresses, and they do not work. I can not do VPN on the phones, so want to "whitelist" the new locations' WAN IP addresses. Would I just go in and whitelist them in iptables via the OS CLI? As I understand it the command would be iptables -A INPUT -s x.x.x.x -j ACCEPT

Any suggestions or a shove with a cattle prod in the right direction would be amazing, I just want to make sure I do the right way, and that if needed I can reverse it.

Thanks!

Jon

Logged into your Rack Nerds instance as root, use these commands:

/root/add-ip or /root/add-fqdn

Pete - I just saw that post. So just to be clear I don’t need to do this with tables. I’ll give it a shot. Thank you so much!

If you are running IncrediblePBX you shouldn’t be changing iptables because it is managed by IPBX.
