Legendary technology columnist, pundit, author and podcast host John C. Dvorak has died, age 80. He is survived by his wife Mimi Dvorak.

This reminded me of reading articles in my teenage years from him in PC Magazine (literally in a magazine, pre WWW days). It also made me curious to find out if the DVORAK keyboard was still around - it is, but increasingly rare . . .

Same. The picture posted above is not at all what I had in my mind. I got my first commercial personal computer in the very late seventies, a TRS-80 Model 1, and from then on if not before was devouring everything I could read in every PC magazine of the day. He was a very prolific journalist in the early '80s.
