This is a community supported hard-fork of 2600hz’s Kazoo, from version 4.3 as their v5.x version is not likely to be released any time soon and that 4.3 packages are only available for CentOS 7, which is End of Life.

The community has put efforts in to support Kazoo v4.3 on later, in-support operating systems, and add additional functionality.

You can currently build from source on a mixture of Alma 8/9 and Debian 11/12.

Help Desired​

• Though a labour of love, any funding would be appreciated when we are ready to take them
• Building RPM packages
• Erlang, Elixir, Rebar, Node/JS developers
• Experience in configuring Kamailio Routing
• Testers, especially those with infrastructure

The use of the name KAZOO is trademarked by other companies (2600hz let theirs lapse), mainly Kazoo LLC. You may want to consider a name change to avoid any issues.

Except outside of the domain name, it has Kazoo Classic all over the website. It is referred to as Kazoo Classic. The GitHub is kazoo-classic and the Discord is called Kazoo Classic. Never once is it referred to or called OSPBX in anything

It would be fun to see someone pick that up again.

The Kazoo trademark is going to be a nightmare to untangle. Unlikely the new trademark will hold up, but... how much are you willing to invest to sort the legal mess out.

They changed the name. It is now called "2600Hz Platform."
