TIPS Mass Notification or Broadcast message system

This is something I have thought about over the years but never dug into. Can IPBX do a mass notification such as I call in and record a greeting and then it gets sent out to a group of users external or internal?

If so can someone point me in the direction to set it up.

Yes, over the years, many people have published scripts for notifying a Scout Troop, a ball team, or other clubs of an event or its cancellation.

Most of them do what you describe, Call into a number, enter an authorization code, prepare your message, and then queue up via a callFile the outbound notifications. But to do this in any volume, you need a network connection/Sip Trunk to support a significant number of simultaneous calls.
