Hello everyone,

Is there a way to send an email notification to the extension email if there is a missed call?
My setup is: Incredible PBX 2021.01 for Debian 10.9 Buster. I'm running it in a vmware virtual machine.

I have an inbound route for a specific number, which forwards calls to a virtual extension.
This virtual extension has Follow Me option enabled with my cellphone number. Confirm calls is enabled, so voicemails are stored in my extension and not my cellphone.
I have emails enabled for any voicemail. In this email It shows "From: Number who called", the date and the mp3 attachment.

When I receive a call, it shows my own trunk number, hence it is not possible for me identify who called me, in case a voicemail is left (which is not always the case).
If not an email, is there another way to identify who called me without having to take out my laptop, and check my logs?

Thank you in advance!

How about connecting a mobile softphone to the PBX?

Otherwise you would have to make a custom script?

Mobile softphone as of an app is not an option. It would require me to be on VPN when I'm outside.

I believe I found the way of doing this. My outbound route currently has two lines LINE1 and LINE2. I created another outbound route to separate LINE1 from LINE2. Now I just need to find a way in which the extension uses LINE2 outbound route, if that is the case, it shows the original caller ID. I'm struggling finding how to use a specific route per extension

So what's the problem with that?
It drains the phone battery faster, adds another point of failure, and it would be impossible to teach this to my 60 year old parents.

So much easier for them to check the actual number of the missed call. Or to set up an email for me and them to see the number of the person who called.

I added my extension number in front of my follow me option.
I created a separate outbound trunk with a prefix of my extension.
Any calls to my NUMBER1 go to a specific inbound route, to my extension, to my follow me number with the prefix set.
The outbound route with the prefix of my extension catches the call forwards it to my cellphone.
Since NUMBER1 was dialed and itself handled the relay to my cellphone, I am able to see the original number caller ID.

I hope this helps someone else.
