Name caching - any accepted guides?

Hi everyone,

Never had this issue with PiaF but on a recent install I noticed that when Internet is lost SIP endpoints are non-functional and can't register. I assume this is the classic DNS issue with Asterisk.

Are there any accepted and proven to work guides on the forum to fix this?

This reportedly has been fixed in Asterisk 1.8 (PIAF-Purple) and Asterisk 10 (PIAF-Red). Let us know.

Who dares to test 1.8 or 10 in production yet?

Anything instructions for 1.6 you have posted?

I don't think this happened on a previous install I had with the same router and now it happens with an install I did last month.
