QUESTION Neorouter server - incrediblePBX 2020 PUBLIC

Hi all,

quick question, I have been following ward’s articles & successfully got a 2020 public server running fantastically!

im looking to interconect it with another pbx I have at home, so as not to expose my home server to the internet with port forwarding I’m looking to use neorouter.

ive installed the neorouter server onto the 2020 public, ive followed wards how to but when I go to the neorouter site to check I get “server cannot be used”

ive inputted my domain & password in the server, is there another step I’m missing?

Make sure you download the FREE version for CentOS (64-bit): http://download.neorouter.com/Downl...OS/nrserver-2.3.1.4360-free-centos-x86_64.rpm

You do not need to login to the NeoRouter site to use the server. Simply run nrclientcmd on both computers and enter your FQDN with the credentials you set up on the server.

I may have spoken too soon, but i have done some digging and found the problem!

First of all how amazing is IncrediblePBX2020-Public! i have 2 VPS, one is my production machine and the other is my "sandbox" and i use incredibleBackup/Restore to move between the 2, its amazing!!!

I have re-read wards tutorial (http://nerdvittles.com/?p=23005) and I've realised I hadn't paid attention to the part saying i should check to see if access to the port is allowed by running iptables- nL.

On my test server i temporarily disabled IPtables, did the test on NeoRouter.com & the box turned green! So IPtables is blocking the NeoRouter port.

I have read that i should be careful when "fiddling" with IPtables so therefor i thought it best i ask you guys, how do I allow traffic on the port NeoRouter needs? what's the correct command I should type in the CLI?
