new install password problem

Hi,
I just did a new install of piaf and after the install completed I updated the scripts and fixes. Then i changed the master passsword. Now for some reason I can not connect to the web interface as admin with the newly changed password. Further more after the password fails it blocks my IP address. What did I miss. Now the wife's phone system is down and she is not a happy camper.

What did I miss?

Are you trying to log into FreePBX? The user name is "maint" not admin.
