I am installing a new PIAF1.4 with a Digium TE121B PRI card.

After it finishes installing the payload I get the screen that says:

"
Complete the system will now reboot
A detailed log for your review is /root/install-pbx.log
A copy has also been emailed to the root user on the local machine

You may notice a few errors while the final bits are being pur in place. THIS IS NORMAL AND CAN SAFETLY BE IGNORED! Please do not send us bug reports about anything you see after this message as they fo away after the system restarts.

Pausing for 5 seconds while the disks are synced.
A reboot will now occur
"

Then I get the following:

"
Zaptel Echo Canceller: MG2
Registered Tormenta2 PCI
ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNEA] enabled at IRQ 18
"
after that the system stays there forever... the reboot never occurs

No shell, no nothing... If I force shutdown via power cycle, it will start booting but stop in:

"Starting udev"

Any ideas???

Thanks all!

Try installing without the card, then put the card in after successful install.

If what Joe suggests fails, maybe try booting in single user mode, then disabling udev - if it lets you?

I try that

Joe,
I did the full install, I even did update-scripts and fixes.

After failing I decided to do a Kernel update, and it did not work because I am using Nvidia raid and Centos kernel update breaks grub when tying.

Here I am with a new installation, I cant install the card.

dobbs,

How I go about trying your suggestion?

Thanks

Hi

In respect of the NVidia problem, is this peculiar to PiaF or CentOS?

If you were to install and download CentOS cd1, and do a minimal installation, does it work?

Joe

Centos

Joe, I believe that is Centos having a problem in 5.2...

I am going to try installing Centos minimal latest version, and get back to you!

Update on this...

5.3 Centos basic install kernel panic'ed me I guess the raid drivers were not included.

I just read the new post from Ward's (http://nerdvittles.com/?p=655) and I am trying the new snapshot with the upgraded kernel.

Thanks Joe

No luck

Still gives me the same error, I am in the same place that i was in the post

Hi

Which error does it give you, is it the grub problem or the failure to compile?

Joe

As soon as i install the card

As soon as i install the card and boot, the behaviour is the same. boot process loads until udev.

I tried to disable udev by presing I for interactiv setup but i doesn't work.

Actually now, udev starts fine, but nothing after that.

I am not a Digium expert, but this could be a bad card out of the box. You might want to ring up Digium support and see what they can offer.
