System had been running for about 4-5 months (13.3.1 I believe), and then I get a call that one phone doesn't ring (But can call) and voicemail doesn't work.

Ok, show up on site and can't access the web ui. So I ssh into it and find Apache is red.

Tried to manually start Apache and I get errors.

apache2.service: Control process exited, code=exited status=139

Failed to start the Apache HTTP server.

Was there any updates that would cause this ? I dont even remember updating. Seems the Apache log is also empty ?

Many thanks in advance ! I'm new to the whole pbx stuff....

Doesn't seem to be the issue from what I see.

Is the disk full?

I just went through a similar troubleshooting exercise myself one week ago, and that is exactly what the problem was. It can be very frightening when Apache seeming goes down, and you begin to wonder when you last backed up your system (or, not!).

If you can still SSH your way in with WinSCP, or whatever you have, delete the accumulation of old logs, mail, or misc files you may have added as spare copies. Once I did that, I was good to go again, and immediately made another back-up! LOL

Phew... lucky save.

Where are the logs I need to delete ? I'm not seeing what is full ?

Isn't /dev/loop0 a virtual mount ? The rest have space.

Oh, and sorry I haven't said thanks for your time yet !

Thanks !

What I have in /var/log/apache2/error.log = Empty

/var/log/apache2/error.log.1

I'm don't see where I go here ? Could a system update do this ? Amy way to return ?

I believe I backed up, but don't I restore from the UI I can't start ?

Webmin runs in Apache ? I can access webmin on 9001.

Ok, foud this in /var/log/kern.log

So at least I'm finding an issue.... That looks bad.

Do I just reinstall apache? Do I need to do anything if I do ? Is this a bad issue?

I guess I had 2 versions of php installed. Disabled v5? and not only using 7.2. However everything seems broken now that I'm in the admin UI. Applied my full backup from when I first put it in, and still broke...

Thanks for the help. Any way to backup all my settings and start over ? It's in production so I'm trying my best not to take it down. However it's got to work right :)

If it upgraded from ssh shell, would it go to 7? Maybe thats my issue?

I'll re-enable 5.X that was on it

Ok, re-enabled 5 and she is fully functional as far as apache goes.

Thank you ! Hoping that fixed VM, I'll report back.

Sometimes little things like " it doesn't have a prayer of a chance under 7.2" let me know I have a problem.

Again thanks !
