QUESTION Not Receiving faxes through email

Strange issue:
I setup gmail as my smtp relay.
I am able to receive emails:

• with a test.
  

  echo "Test mail" | mail -s "Test Postfix" <email address>

• on errors
  

  requeued No carrier detected

• If I forward it from the web interface

I do not receive any email at the time of receiving the fax.
A few things to note:

• /var/log/mail.log shows
  stat=Sent (OK 1501115183 f37sm1234567qtb.43 - gsmtp)
• The only differences I see between the successful emails and unsuccessful is
  
  unsuccessful shows - msgid=<XXXXXX@localhost>, relay=uucp@localhost
  successful shows - msgid=<201707270001.v6R01sHF005874@FQDN>, relay=root@localhost
• The message is in my Gmail sent folder but the mail is never delivered to the recipient

You'll need to fix emails from Hylafax to send out using root not uucp.

Have them check their spam, gmail will generally send emails from root@. . . . to there. Send emails as asterisk or another user of your choice.
