Hi, everyone,

I'm sure this has been asked and answered but I can't find the information that I'm looking for. I'm currently running RasPBX 16.0.40.7 and Asterisk 19.4.1 on a Raspberry Pi 3 and I want to move to Incredible PBX. My questions are 1) Which version of Incredible PBX would I be able to use on the Raspberry Pi 3? and 2) Would it be as simple as making a complete backup of my current RasPBX system and restoring it on the Incredible PBX system? Because I'm running RasPBX, I do not have any commercial modules enabled.

A third question would be that I have a Raspberry Pi 4 coming shortly. So, if I would have to wait until that arrives, I can. Which version of Incredible PBX would I want, and would it still be a case of backing up and restoring?

In all cases, if I have to do something else to migrate over, I would appreciate any information on what and how to do it.

Thank you. :)
Patrick.

Ward Mundy's www.nerdvittles.com is a go to for all things IncrediblePBX. See this article regarding the Raspberry PI 4 and IncrediblePBX 2027. Another valuable resource is the IncrediblePBX wiki: https://wiki.incrediblepbx.com/HomePage

In your migration, you would update all modules on the old PI to be sure they are current. Next run a FreePBX backup which will capture your settings. Copy the FreePBX backup to your desktop system for deployment on the new RPI. Restore the backup on the new RPI 4.

This will not restore modifications you have made at the Linux level such as firewall mods and whitelists. You will have to do that manually or recreate them on the new system.

Rather than installing older versions of IncrediblePBX, I'd recommend you wait for the RPI 4 and install the latest 2027. There is no point in installing an older version.
