Hi @wardmundy

For the millionth time, thank you so much for all you've done for us little guys :)
Am I correct in my assumptions that we are still not to use Debian 11 on new production installations if we want things to just work?

You say in your Incredible 2021 installation to download and install using Debian 10.10, is it ok to install straight off with 10.11?
I ask because you say "Also be advised that all Debian 10 releases are not equal."

Is the Ubuntu route no longer a safe bet for things to just work with minimal effort going forward?

I thought I'd rather ask now, as it's been a little while since my last fresh install and things seem to have moved on a bit since then....

Thanks again ......

If you are looking for a personal reply, then why don't you ask him in a personal message? If you read and followed his tutorials on nerdvittles,

The Ubuntu platform is no longer officially supported by our development team. We simply lack the financial and personnel resources to support both Debian and Ubuntu. Because Ubuntu is a derivative of Debian, we have chosen to directly support Debian and leave the Ubuntu platform for others to maintain. This tutorial provides an excellent starting point if you possess the necessary skillset to keep it updated. If you do, we hope you will share your work by posting a comment and a link to your updated code on the VoIP-Info.org forum. P.S. Updated installer still works as of October7, 2021.

If you’re using on-premise hardware, begin by downloading the netinst ISO image of Debian 10.10 for amd64.

Once the installation completes, reboot and you should be good to go.

After you log back in following a reboot, check the version of Debian 10 in the pbxstatus display. If it’s less than 10.7, issue the following commands to bring your server up to Debian 10.10. Do NOT do this before the base install is finished, or Asterisk may fail to install properly.

After following the tutorial you should be able to upgrade to Debian 10.11 without a problem.

Debian 10.10 or later not Debian 11 is the best way to proceed.

not to use Debian 11
At this time, Debian 11 DOES NOT WORK with IncrediblePBX2021. I'm sure Ward is working on it but until he does an official release which he documents on the Nerd Vittles site, don't try it. Debian 10.7 through Debian 10.11 are known to work with the product.

The tutorials are not published unill they actually work out of the box; so there is little point in asking about a possible install onto a different beast that has not undergone scrutiny, and is not yet documented.
