NO JOY Recordings and Random Calls

I have the recordings working for all the extensions, I can login and check them individually. But I know theres a way for admin to view all recordings, but I can not seem to login to voicemail/recording screen with any of my login info. Do I need to setup an admin to view all the recordings or am I missing something.

I solved that problem but now I see that my extension is randomly dialing s?? Anyone know why my system is making random phone calls?

Whoops, sorry!

You have to go to Settings -> Advanced Settings, then in the System Setup section you set a login and pw using :
User Portal Admin Username
User Portal Admin Password

Thats the login you use!

Any idea what all these phantom calls are about?? Could it be because I setup sip extensions, but don't actually have them in use and its looking for something or is it bad people doing bad things?

Nope, it also dialed every extension from 1000-9000 , so its probably some bot... So I turned off Allow SIP Guests, Allow Anonymous Inbound SIP Calls was already turned off, so I figured it must be the sip guests feature that allowed these bastards to spam the server.

SIP Guests would be my guess as well. Definitely sounds like a bot. I don't remember specifically anything in your post history that I may have commented about regarding opening port 5060 on your firewall. Do you have it open?

Wait I don't need it open? I use AnveoDirect, it uses ip authentication.

It depends. Honestly for the most secure install you would be using a white list of IPs that are allowed to connect to your server. And most SIP providers that use registration shouldn't need the port open. But some are really picky and do need it open. I'd try out closing the port after business hours (assuming this is at a business) and see if anything breaks. If it does break then open it back up. If not then leave it. I'm not going to go into detail on TravelinMan since I'm on my phone because it's very well covered. As is the white list that comes pre installed on most recent systems.

You have to have 5060 open to receive incoming calls, with AnveoDirect that is! But the guest thing seemed to stop all the phantom dialing.
