The INCREDIBLE RESULT?
Thanks Ward.
Using instructions at http://nerdvittles.com/?p=712 I am able to successfully set up ONE Google-Voice account to be integrated with FreePBX.
Using the info provided in the X-Lite Setup Guide, I was able to setup 3CX's softphone on six LAN workstations (Dell). I used the extensions already provided by incrediblepbx (701,702,703,704,705,706)
and I made sure to individually enter each extension's secret code at each workstation softphone interface (701's secret @ 701 computer, 702's secret @ 702 computer, etc...)
The INCREDIBLE RESULT? ALL six extensions can dial outbound to six different outside destination numbers AT THE SAME TIME, (I called my whole family last night at the same time) and all six extensions can receive inbound calls AT THAT SAME TIME (my family called me back).
For my small office setup, trying to use more than one Google Voice account ISN'T necessary!!! (At least for up to 6 active calls at the same time)
I don't know how this is possible - all I know is that it works. I haven't tinkered with anything at all on the PIAF server side other than installing incrediblepbx. I am afraid to run updates or mess with Trunks/Inbound Routes/Outbound/Dialing Rules/Etc...!
All things considered, it has been one heck of an adventure... I am (finally) fully operational using 6 phones in my small office.
I've posted some random beginner's advice in different areas of the forum - I hope they can save someone else a few weeks
Thanks again for this wonderful software, this forum, and the opportunity you all have given me to elevate my status in life. I never would have been able to spend thousands of dollars for a VoIP PBX system. You've given me the key.
