Reports question on transfer

The receptionist's extension is in a ring group (600).
This allows the call to go to the time conditions upon no answer.
When the receptionist receives a call and transfers it to an extension, the Call Detail Records show the entire time is to the ring group and not the individual that actually has the call on their extension.
We need to use the records for billing purposes.
Does anyone have some insight into this?

This appears to be a normal and expected behavior. CDR should show the entire call duration. I believe I seen this question asked on the asterisk newsgroups and nobody really knows what to do or change so that it will work for everyone's situation.

Maybe you could create a custom-context to create a record in your own table at transfer, write your start and end times yourself?
