RECOMMENDATIONS restore backup

I have managed to install piaf3 and I did a full backup on my older system 2.0.6.5, I was on 1.8 asterisk and now I want to get te same asterisk 1.8 and 2.10 and restore the backup, no matter how I try there is no way to restore the settings wich there are a lot, could someone please point me in the right direction so I can get back my settings please very urgent!!

Sorry. The fact no one has answered should speak volumes about the backup restore process. Search here in the forums, there are nuggets here and there.
You are likely not going to be able to restore piaf2 to piaf3. Also what "full backup" did you do? there's the Incredible Backup one, FreePBX one, and the Webmin/OS one.
Not that it's going to help me help you however.
I typically don't backup. I document my settings and rebuild clean. That's easy for me, as I only have a few extensions on my own personal PiaF.

I could say the same thing. FreePBX backup *should* work between the same FreePBX and Asterisk versions. Incredible Backup, IIRC, doesn't work between PIAF versions.
More details as for what exactly you did to try and back up would be nice.

I managed to restore using freepbx only pbx settings once I had the sam eversions of asterisk and freepbx, thanks for your help

The only thing that is not working is avantfax although I installed it, could someone please tell me how to uninstall it and install it again because it says "the avanFAX database is DOWN.check your database settings in local_config.php" please tell me how to fix this or how to reinstall the avantfax server please

and also I did something to googlets.agi or speechrecog.agi when I entered my api key because it keeps saying "after the beep please say.........." but without the beep is there a way to fix this as well?
