[SOLVED] Dahdi Breaks after update-source16

I'm posting this for posterity.

I am running PIAF (Status Version 1.2.9 released on Date 042310).

I ran update-source16 and the upgrade broke dahdi. turns our YUM installed a very new kernel. i reverted to the old kernel and all worked out. here is a link a guy who had the same issue:

Update-source16 is deprecated as is the version of PIAF you are using. It is recommended you replace the version you are using with something current. That being said you would have to do a scrub and reinstall.
