Good day all,

I have the following problem i would like to share on A Raspberry IncrediblePBX

When i enable the VoiceMail on a particular extension and set it on an inbound line, when i call in
the unavailable or whatever message, it starts slowly playing the file then speeds up and then it plays normally,

for exampe the person at extension xx is unavailable please leave your message after the tone

the words THE PERSON AT EXTENSION start playing back reeeeaaally slowly then is UNAVAILABLE PLAYS REALLY QUICK and then i hear the rest of the message at the correct speed.

If i dial extension to extension the playback speed of the message is normal.

Thank you

What version of RasPi are you using? AT least a 4B is recommended for current IncrediblePBX installations. It sounds like your system may be lagging due to processor load. Things to consider: What CODEC is your trunk using and is the system having to transcode for example from GSM to Ulaw.

Hi kenn,

The currrent build is 4B model 4GB Ram,

My trunk uses alaw.

Can you be more specific where can i see about the transcoding you are referring to?

Again, I don't have a RasPi so I can't comment further for trouble-shooting. The fact it is only slowing up from an outside trunk may still be indicative of a codec mismatch or a lagged or jittery internet connection.

I need to defer this to other forum members who us the RasPi. I have always considered them more trouble than worth and rely on cloud VM's or a VirtualBox VM running on a local PC.

Thank you for your time, will troubleshoot abit more and see what happens and let you know. I agreee cloud and vm are more reliable options but it is a nice little package on the RasPi and other than that everything else runs super smooth.

Thanks again

You may want to see what happens while running HTOP to see if it is overtaxing the CPUs. I was running my setup on the 3B with 1GB without issues until the Ethernet port starting failing. I then recently put it in a 2GB v4

I changed from WLAN to LAN to see how it goes.
