Does any provider have termination in our area - 208-784, Kellogg Idaho - I have been searching for weeks....

Thanks
Tony

Tony,

Do you mean phone numbers (origination) in that area?

VoicePulse doesn't have Kellogg numbers ordered (yet), but we did recently expand into Idaho so we could port numbers in that area. To be absolutely sure, you can email us at [email protected] or call +1-732-339-5100 M-F 9am-5pm ET.

I believe the initial batch of numbers in ID was in the largest rate centers, so we do have numbers in about 17 rate centers. You can see the full availability list at:

http://www.voicepulse.com/availability/default.aspx

I have yet to find anyone that services the North/East part of Idaho. Closest is CDA, and that is 35 miles away and LD to us.

I cant believe nobody does as Kellogg is home to Dave Smith Motors (Largest Dodge Dealer in the world) and they have 40 incoming lines. Now they could be using POTS for inbound - but I doubt it.

The way they handle calls looks/acts too familiar to asterisk

I don't have an answer to your question, but thought I'd say hi to a neighbor. I'm in Spokane. I have family history (mom's side is from there) in Kellogg though.

Stop by some time if your going thru - I manage/run the local theater in kellogg - only 1 block north off exit 51

Will do. We were there a couple months back for family. Stayed the night and road the Hiawatha the next day. That is one COLD tunnel!

Anyone else have any suggestions for DID for 208-784 area - voiceplus said they were adding them and it would be 10-12 business days (now a week past that) and can not longer get them to answer emails when I would not give me them my number when I told them I was not ready to order anything until I knew DID for our area was available.

That was over a week ago, and they still dont answer any more questions in my ticket queue......

While Vonage works for my web hosting business of 10+ years, I want the features Asterisk provides to me, and Vonage is not local to me as well and Inbound 800 for tech support is getting expensive

So anyone else have ANY suggestions.....

These area code-prefix combinations are in the same rate center and should be a local call from 208-784

208-512 208-682 208-783 208-784 208-786

Additional area code prefix combinations may be a local call to you if you have Extended Area Service (EAS).

It looks like you have a small and isolated local calling area limited to Shoshone County. I checked with Voicepulse, Vitelity, VTWhite and Aretta and don't see any numbers provided in your rate center.

It appears there is no CLEC serving your area. You might need to get a toll-free number or see if Verizon offers IP services in your area. There are many small calling areas which are simply not served by a CLEC.

Good luck!

I would like to thank the guys/gals at VoicePulse for taking the time and getting DID numbers added to the data center so I now have local VoIp DID numbers available to me.

I will definitely be letting others know about this above and beyond service to the many ppls a day I contact thru my own business and the movie theater business I run.

You guys just opened up VoIP to the whole "Silver Valley"

Thank you
Tony

Thanks for posting the request here, Tony!

We started exploring the process the day you posted and less than a month later, we have numbers all over Idaho's 208.
