I have burnt the V1.2 ISO and started the install, and it gets to the "welcome to Centos" blue screen page, and then ejects the CD and says "the Centos CD was not found in any of your CDRom Drives. Please insert the Centos CD and press OK to retry."

I have tried default, and ksalt boots (32 bit install).

Fixed

JUst on a whim, I tried reburning at 8 speed rather than 24 speed, and now it works... (Mac Ibook is burn platform).

well, sort of. I tried the default LVM nstall and it bitched about not being able to mount the CD at a different point in the whole process.

switched to KSalt (tom's preference) and is now up to installing install image on drive...

These are pure 9660 images so every O/S *should* recognize it out of the box. I have had problems in the past with MAC burned disks (Yes I actually have one sitting in the corner) Then of course I have had problems with poor media also. My solution is to always use Sony branded disks and burn at slower speeds than usual.

Interestingly I could not make my Sun Enterprise 250 read anything but Sony CD's burnt at 4X. I even replaced the SCSI cdrom with a brand new one (It seems to me this cost more than I paid for the whole E250) With the same result. usually when I am building VMware images I simply point to the ISO file itself and all is well, although I have been told that this doesn't seem to work for everybody.
