QUESTION unanswered calls not going to VM...

Hello:

I have a inbound route for an (anveo direct) DID which is routed to an extension which is my Yealink phone.

The problem is that if I do not answer the call on the Yealink, the call gets mysteriously transferred to my cell phone - I don't know why this is happening.

I have voicemail enabled, to the best of my knowledge.

Does anyone know how & why this is happening?

How are you routing it to your phone?

If you are using a ring group and have specified Ring Strategy = Hunt they it could cause what you are experiencing.

I am not using a Ring Group.

I really have no idea how this can happen. :(

My cell phone rings but I think that I know what is wrong:

My PBX has 2 extensions:
  1. #777 which is my Yealink W52P located here in Montreal
  2. #702 which is a Yealink T23G located north of Montreal.
The problem must be because, on my cell phone, I have CSipSimple registered to #702 as well.

I guess this why it is happening.???
 
I think the answer is buried in there somewhere, though the facts do not match what you originally stated - that still needs clarification.

You said your inbound route is routed to your phone (#777).

Is it only to that phone or also to #702?

If it is not routed to #702 then your cell phone should not ring.

If it is routed to #702 then the cell phone should ring immediately, not just when you do not answer #777

So we need some more details of the exact setup.
 
anveo direct isn't sending the call on no answer to your cell by chance
didn't setup follow me and forgot about it
