I tried to upgrade to 1.3 today and it failed in the zaptel compile with the following:

1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/zaptel'
echo "You do not appear to have the sources for the 2.6.18-92.1.10.el5 kernel installed."

I can definitely see that the OS is now 5.2, but the source for the kernel was definitely not installed.

considering there is no official way to upgrade to 1.3 I suspect you are lucky. there are a number of permutations that can go wrong i am afraid. Did you use the latest version of update-source or did you do the evil yum update? yum update breaks zaptel from centos 5.1 to 5.2.

zaptel has to be patched before compiling as there is a well know problem. Using update-source should patch zaptel and then compile just fine. 64bit piaf is also a work in progress still. 32bit piaf 1.3 is still the recommended version for best results.

I used update-source to upgrade. The one problem that I found is that update-source keeps setting the symlinks to /usr/src/kernels/2.6.18-92.1.10.el5-i686. I manually set them to 2.6.18-92.1.10.el5-x86_64 and everything seems alright now.

I issued a new update-source and update-source16 with some extra checking in it so it will always make the right links. Thanks for your report
