Ok, Incredible pbx 13.3 installed with ubuntu, setup running Ubuntu 1804 LTS for months without issue.

I have 2 POTS lines (due to contract) with a gateway.

I believe a few months back some/somehow the system was updated, and I knew on install "if" that happen most likely it would break. Come to find out apache2 updated to 7.4 I believe. After some help with this board, someone mention that no way it would work with 7.4. So I checked and yep, it upgraded and I backed it down to 5.4. Boom, GUI works and I finally had assess back into the UI (as I only had ssh access)

I still had no voicemail, rings one a bit and then states call cannot be completed or one person said it went busy? (the busy part I can't contest to)

Anyhow, I had a backup from a month I installed it using GUI backup and restore. I did so, rebooted it and still no voicemail working.

I have two questions. Being it's all working but VM, what should I check first if I try to save what I have?

Or if I have to rebuild it.... Is a full backup all I need to re-configure the system ? I paid someone to get it going as I had issues especially when it came to the gateway configuration.

Also would that backup work if I just went to 2020 VM ?

Just trying to find a direction and now I know I should have just imaged it... Oh all the what if's in my life...lol...

Anyway, any help would be great. And thanks to all that have helped me this far.

From your new noob PBX guy ;)

Unfortunately, you're experiencing first hand why we dropped support for Ubuntu. THEY BREAK THINGS REGULARLY.

Switch to the Incredible PBX 2020 platform with CentOS 7 and all your nightmares will disappear.

Can I use my backup currently to restore to incredible PBX 2020 CentOS 7 ? Being that's a better direction. Or will I have to have it completely reconfigured manually?

I'm stoked the PBX ninja answered himself ! Thanks wardmundy.... Seems like it just came out, however I guess it's over a year now... Time fly's.

Was unaware of the Ubuntu issue, and being I have a few Ubuntu servers (and I'm more familiar with) I just went that direction.

I'm hearing more and more Cent is the way to go.

Cut-and-paste is your best bet. Too many changes between FreePBX 13 and 15.
