R.I.P. Kazoo

Quite busy nowadays, but if any Kazoo related topics come up, feel free to @ mention me which should give me a notification :)

Making some progress, and now want to learn about provisioning module. Which do you use and do you have a link?

@pbxhq
Hi. I want to send you an email about DID pricing on Dominican Republic. Do you have some more info about?

Hi. I want to send you an email about DID pricing on Dominican Republic. Do you have some more info about?

I don't have aggressive pricing available at the moment for Dominican DIDs. I work with the best carriers in US and Canada at the moment, but relationships with global providers has been put on hold temporarily while I work on a major project. Unless quantity is 100+, I cannot offer pricing any better than companies like Telnyx @ $5 each. Sorry about that :(

Not aware of any great provisioning options that just work out of the box. Softphones with API provisioning is not difficult (cloudsoftphone, bria stretto, etc).

You can purchase 2600hz provisioning module, they offer it to the open source community. Last I checked I think it was around $1,000 or $2,000 up front and then IIRC it was $0.50 /month per device, sold in groups of 500 devices. That conversation with 2600hz was over a year ago, so those numbers may be way off (due to poor memory and/or pricing changes).

Also, depending how deep an integration you need, and how well you can program, you can build something yourself. All data needed for basic SIP client configuration is an API call or two away. Feed that into a template that you auto generate with credentials, based on MAC address and done. I may have grossly oversimplified that, but it is doable.

@pbxhq I am having an issue with getting transcription for voicemail working properly. Could you lend a hand with the proper configuration to get it working? I have STT working fine on FreePBX, but can't get it working on Kazoo.

and @pbxhq Any ideas on Kazoo and OneBill integration
I think @pbxhq may have the answer for you, and I know you checked on 2600hz forum (that sometimes seems hit or miss, not nearly as active for helping as folks here) - but I saw THIS thread that maybe could help you. Please share what you find out, as I'm interested as well. Have you reached out directly to OneBill ? Would also wonder if Skyetel couldn't help point you in the right direction.

That thread predates the OneBill integration with Kazoo.

After watching the Webinar, it looks like what I want to happen with billing. I did email the person who showcased the integration, but I am running my own email server, and it seems it went down their spam hole, as they never got back with me. I guess I will need to contact them directly by telephone.

Assume you've gone through https://mxtoolbox.com/ to verify you have proper mx records set to avoid finding SPAM bucket. The site has helped me immensely to make sure that I've got everything done properly according to Hoyle.

Yeah, I have all the records correct, including rDNS. It seems now days if you are not with the big guys , you are going to get blocked. Microsft/Outlook is the worst. My email will always go the the spam box, and with some of the Outlook business accounts (they give users some more control) and even had some outright rejections on there.

Hi @fmateo05
I am a new user of Kazoo from Canada Quebec,
I have the service correctly working and install on Redhat 7.
I trying to add a Outbound Trunk to a other FreePBX instance that have my external number from Kazoo.
But in the Log of the FreePBX, while following this "tutorial", Kazoo send the context "From-Internal" instead of the right one to send the call to the Outbound Tunk of the FreePBX Intance.

ex: From-internal need to change to From-pstn

Can your help me to find the right way to add a trunk to a carrier with Monster-UI if possible or the Crossbar API?

If you know the way to set this Trunk as Global Outbound carrier, it will be usefull.

And Thanks for your help fmateo05 and all other members.

By the way it's my first post on this fabulous forum :D

What is this? Kazoo? - Version 4 or 5? Hosted with them or not ?
Kazoo 5 has not been released, and they closed off the source code until it is in release state. They closed the source code off in the meantime until they could get their app store released.

So they say .... I really hope they release it, but they told me that would happen back in January, and still waiting.

Kazoo 4 is installed on CentOS 7. Then I would assume Kazoo 5 would be based on installing on CentOS 8, which has been pulled. The release has probably been delayed now due to that.
