FYI Endpoint Manager for IncrediblePBX 2020

Without an effective endpoint manager, what did people do? I've always relied on EPM for my Polycom phones, and wouldn't know what to do without it. Isn't endpoint manager essential?

Ward announced great news and I didn't mean to suggest otherwise. "RTFM" is great if one knows which of 1,000 manuals to read.

I think I've missed a puzzle piece during my 9 year journey with Asterisk, FreePBX, IPBX, and VitalPBX. To me, having an effective endpoint manager is essential- as in "I can't build a PBX without it". I once built a PBX without EPM, and with just 8 phones it was really slow and painful. I get the sense that, to more informed folks, EPM is just a luxury; it's icing on the cake; it's nice but not essential. So, my question stands: what did people do when there wasn't an effective endpoint manager?

There's a manual for every SIP phone. You only need a handful of settings to get it working. Programming buttons isn't that hard either. Most have an intuitive GUI that walks you through button setups with pull-down menus of options. Stick with the major brands, and it's really not rocket science.

Users please note:

The OSS Endpoint Manager is not currently compatible with FreePBX 16 and IncrediblePBX 2022B due to changes in FreePBX-16. It works correctly with FreePBX-15 and IncrediblePBX-2021.

Getting OSS End Point Manager to work has been nothing short of water torture for most folks. So... to ease the pain, we've built a BETA CONFIGURATOR FOR INCREDIBLE PBX 2020 SYSTEMS ONLY. It assumes that you have never used OSS EPM before so all of your existing OSS EPM settings will be overwritten. MAKE A BACKUP OF SERVER BEFORE PROCEEDING. Current Incredible PBX 2020 backup script is here.

Log into the Linux CLI as root and issue the following commands:
Code:
cd /
wget http://incrediblepbx.com/endpointman.tar.gz
tar zxvf endpointman.tar.gz
rm -f endpointman.tar.gz
cd /root/endpointman
mysql -u root -ppassw0rd asterisk < epm-tables.sql
fwconsole reload
fwconsole restart

In the FreePBX GUI, login as admin, and you now should be able to access OSS Endpoint Manager in Settings. Click on the Options bar on the right and choose Package Manager. DO NOT CLICK Check for Update. There aren't and probably never will be any. All available phone setups should now appear and be ready for use.

Holler if it smokes.
Possible to use this for Incredible PBX 2027 ? Looking for best way to deploy a bunch of T46u's.
