Moving from IPBX 16-15 to 2022-r18 I have all the actual voicemails moved over but I cannot for the life of me find the voicemail greeting audio file on the old box. Where should it be?

Where should it be?
/var/spool/asterisk/voicemail/default/[extension_number]

Look for the greet.wav and greet.WAV and unavail.wav and unavail.WAV files in the folder for each extension for which voicemail has been activated on your iPBX 2022-R. It may be to your advantage to create temporary greeting and unavailable messages from the corresponding extensions before the voicemail folder is created for it on the new iPBX, however.

Once you've located the above files on the old iPBX, you should be able to simply replace the default files on the 2022-R18 iPBX with the greet and unavail files from your older 16-15 iPBX.

Thanks, that is where I thought but nothing there on the old system. I am guessing something happened and the greeting got deleted at some point. I'll just re-record it.

Before you give up, check /var/spool/asterisk/voicemail/device/[extension number] to see if they got put there.

You can use the find command
Bash:
find /var/spool/asterisk/voicemail/default -name greet.*
#which ( for each extension# ) might show:
/var/spool/asterisk/voicemail/default/711/greet.wav
/var/spool/asterisk/voicemail/default/711/greet.WAV
Or use find to search the whole of /
