Hi everyone, all of sudden 2 weeks ago incoming calls only rand 2 times before IPBX answered, not it is about 8 rings! any ideas?

Need more specifics. What is the incoming call coming to? IVR, Ring Group, Extension, Call Center Queue?
Is the incoming call on a SIP trunk, ISDN-PRI trunk, analog trunk?
What version of FreePBX?. What version of Asterisk?

I've had no FreePBX-17 updates that affected my systems.

When I had this happen in the past, our upstream provider had fqdns for our sip trunk primary and backup. Their SBC would be giving 180 ringing to the caller while looking up/resolving the fqdn, before finally sending the INVITE to us. Did away with fqdn. Direct to IP address and issues resolved.

Hi kenn, always great to hear from you, I'm using incredible pbx 2021 15.0.37.9, all calls go from time conditions to IVR, always use either SIP or PJSIP trunks

thank you, but using IPs not fqdn.

From the Linux prompt, run sngrep -c and make some inbound calls. See what the SIP messages say in the output.

What Linux version are you running? I know 2021 is old but I can't remember if it is Centos or Debian. We'll have to look at a backport or repository update to load it.

Did you log into the Linux CLI as the root user before executing the commands or as another user?

Also, what hardware are you using? How much RAM. How much disk? How many extensions and call centers? How many calls per hour on average (best guess?)

Who is your VOIP trunk provider? All these things are pertinent to finding out what is happening on your system.

Does your FreePBX do auto-updates or do you manually apply them? Have you done any Linux updates or upgrades about the time this began?

Sounds like he is using CentOS. There is no package for it on there in the CentOS repo

figured it out by chance...................went to trunks, fax tab, changed fax detect time from 5 to 3, saved donfig, tried a new inbound call and it answered normally after two rings, then i changed it back to 5 seconds and still answered after 2 rings,,,,,,who knew? must of been a glitch in the matrix.
