Free Atlanta DIDs?

They are not free, but you can but them from Aretta or Joe's service for a very nominal amount.

For low volume calling, voip.ms has Atlanta DIDs for $1 a month and a penny a minute. That's hard to beat.

les.net has numerous numbers in the atlanta area codes for 3.99/month with unlimited inbound and fractional outbound.

Google Voice does. :smile5:
Just set up your GoogleVoice number to ring one of your existing DID's. It is not currently a SIP service but it allows you to enter numbers to ring. In the current incarnation, GoogleVoice is kind of like the old "one number" services. I just set up GoogleVoice on a 678-223-xxxx number and it works great.

Also, for Marietta/Atlanta DID's, Vitelity, Aretta.com and Flowroute.com all have inexpensive DID's for all of the Atlanta area. If you are not in the vicinity, Atlanta has the largest free calling area in the country so you can pick any number with a 404, 470, 678 or 770 area code and it will be a local call in the massive Atlanta free calling area.

With the highest respect to darmock, I must note that I have had horrible service with LES.NET in Atlanta.

i hear everyone about the whole GV deal. but I dont want to waste that on these people. I would rather get a free number for incoming only.. I was thinking of seeing if ipcomms.net had something since they are in GA

I'm not sure why you would expect any provider to provide free DID's. They have a cost not only for the number, but the bandwidth too.

I suppose you could find someone that would provide next to 'free', but then I'd worry about QoS and how long they'll stay in business.

Mt 2 cents...

I was thinking that there is places like ipkall and the such, and thinking that maybe there was some provider that does has GA DID's tht someone here knew about.

I would look at IPCOMMS. I have used them extensively for a number of projects and never had an issue. Since I want them to stay in business I can tell you they are not free, but for $10.00/Month you can have a number, 2 inward paths and no charge on the incoming call. "SimpleDID"
