New to Asterisk/PBX in a Flash.

I have service with ViaTalk. I have PIAF configured, and working with both lines receiving and making calls.

What I would like, however, is for unanswered calls to use ViaTalk's voicemail, not PIAF. Any advice on how to configure this?

I know nothing about ViaTalk, but if you just disable voicemail on the extension being rung, wouldn't ViaTalk go to its own voicemail after your extension rings (unanswered and no voicemail) for a long enough time?

I thought this would be the case, but instead it just rings for awhile (long enough that viatalk voicemail should have picked up) and eventually PBXIAF responds that the extension is not availible. If I connect to viatalk directly with my ATA, not via PBXIAF, the call does eventually end up in viatalk voicemail.

The reason that Viatalk VM isn't working (probably..) is that once the PBX answers the call, ViaTalk considers it answered, and no need to go to VM. If you have an ATA, or softphone, or something other than a PBX, though, it is just that device that picks up, so it keeps ringing and ViaTalk would pick up with VM if no answer.
Hope this helps!
