Voicemail - Email Notification

Until Last week email notification of a new voicemail was working flawlessly. I get nothing now..Can someone please help me with this? Where should i look? What should i check? etc... Thanks.

FYI...Heres my system PIAF 1.4 and orgasmatron Installer.

Help it's broken is really not useful..

Start with a Tail on /var/log/maillog or grep [address] /var/log/maillog and see if you are getting errors or rejects on your email address or SMTP interface.

I have seem many ISPs just start blocking IPs recently until you contact them and verify yourself.

You are a Senior Member and I am just a Member, so my suggestions should be taken with that grain of salt. I would try to ping the mail server. If you can still reach it, then maybe someone changed the mailserver spam filter regarding attachements. Do you get the second message: "New 0:05 long msg in box xxx"?
BTW I tried to see what occurs during a debug, but saw nothing.

You might want to try the Gmail tutorial. Sounds like maybe your ISP is blocking the email port.

Hi. Is the pager text that gets sent out when a new vm arrives modifiable? I see that the email notification can be changed in vm_email.inc but I can't find it where the pager stuff is changed. On a straight Asterisk server, I believe that'd be in voicemail.conf but FreePBX is different. Thanks, JR

Looks like my mail server is refusing the connection:

Connection refused by mail.xxxxxx.com.

I found this in the /var/mail/maillog

So the question is WHY ??

In the maillog message is [transaction number]

grep on that number and you should get a number of records telling you what the server is unhappy about..
