Nortel Unistim phones and dial plan

Tested my new system with PRI today - working swimmingly right away (Shock). Except. If I setup the dial plan for the default outbound route as 9|, the 9 is not gettind dropped. Tried setting it on both the zap trunk and outbound route in freepbx.

Any ideas why? I suppose I can educate the users to not dial 9 anymore but rather not.

I don't know if you mistyped or not but if you are referring to the Asterisk dial plan (not the phone's) that should be 9|. and not 9|,

That is a period after the pipe character rather than a comma. You could also try 9|X. to see if that works better.

I did indeed mistype. I had 9|.
