Extension secret now needs letters?

I am confused. Using incrediblepbx, changing the secret through the web interface. I am being forced to use letters and numbers. How does one enter letters from a telephone handset?
 
It's a FreePBX 'feature' now. I will release some code next week that lets you set numeric passwords. In the meantime, leave the Incredible PBX-generated random passwords alone. They all are numeric. :wink5:
 
lol... thanks. By the way, it would be useful to be able to access that random number generator and scramble all the passwords at will.

Yep. Problem is that some phones don't accept alphanumeric password entries.

but what the OP seemed to be complaining about was how to enter an alphanumeric password using the phone keypad, which wasn't ever going to be done that way (I thought.)
 
He could be confusing the voicemail password with the extension's secret.
