I have a customer I'm going to do an install for in mid July. They'll be running a fiber delivered SIP trunk but will temporarily need some trunk lines (will use a Rhino card for that, and leave it there as a timing source).

50 extensions, a smallish call queue, and a smattering of other basic features. Phones from Aastra, Cisco (525G2), Polycom (301) I think.

If it were you, would you leave them on Gold using 1.4 or go with Purple given the better long term support?

Certainly not Gold. If you wanted to stick with 1.4, I would do Silver. However, if LTS is what you want, go with Purple.

I, personally, would do Silver if the client didn't need something that only 1.8 offered.
