I am trying to help someone with an installation.

They currently have regular overhead speakers (hooked up to an amp-> mic). They want to know if it is possible to somehow connect them to an asterisk system.

I suggested cyberdata, but their IP Paging amplifier, can connect to only to two speakers at once. Here they have it all wired already.

Furthermore, they dont want to loose the ability to a mic with it like they currently do.

Is there a way to maybe connect the cyberdata speakers to their old regular amp?

THanks

Are they using just one audio source? Just get a cheapo Grandstream BT200, a 2.5mm to 3.5mm audio adapter, and some cable. Hook it to their existing amplifier. Works great. That's what I use at home. Just dial the extension number programmed to the grandstream to page.

The Cyberdata will connect to an external amplifier. I have one installed at a customer that is using a Bogen amplifier. All speakers are connected to the amplifier.
