PIAF Welcome GUI Suddenly Crashed ???

Hi

This is the second box.... that has this problem.

The welcome gui shows this image in all of the browsers

Any idea how to fix it ?

Check the dns in webmin. make sure everything is in order. hostname, etc.

I usually get this when I convert the piaf box from dhcp to a static ip when I first install it. I always need to fiddle with the dns/hostnames, etc via webmin.

Hi i dont think so, like i told you this is the second machine.... here is the output

Hi Rossiv the file is there ... .but for some reason not been read.....

Just to check i erased the file and copy from other box ... nothing its the same as the file not been there.......

I checked there but everything seems to be fine, what exactly do you modify to make it work back again ?

I tested erasing the css file mainstyle.css in another box (virtualized) just for learning purposes but i dont have the same result everything seems to be fine there, so this problem must be related to another issue.

Maybe. Won't hurt anything. If all else fails, you can reinstall the web interface. I have instructions somewhere..
(Sidenote: Your boxes are seeming to have a bunch of issues after you install them. Are you sure your ISO was valid and good?)

Hi

Skpe was a problem with alsamixer like DON said.....

Avantfax had a bad repository or the script was bad remember that was fixed....

Cepstral i think it was the extra space like Ward said

Samba was not starting at boot , that was all ....

Iso is valid an good , I installed the FlashONlyISO with uninetboot

Rossiv do you think its indeed a problem with the dns/hostname ????

I changed from static to DHCP again but same thing very weird problem......

Oops - just missed your post.
Could be - does it work on DHCP?

No not at all , tried everything previous problem showed up on a purple 1.8 and this is a purple 2.0 diferent iso's also.... anyway formating the machine right now again........
