I ran into a problem with the NEW google account I setup for use with google voice... The link to googe talk(within the goggle settings) was corrupt. So, I deleted and thought I would create it.... Well, no such luck! There doesn't seem to be a way to re-create the link to google talk(chat).

If that's true, then I need to create another new account and then re-configure the google settings(within PIAF) to point to the new account.

Thing is, I am not sure where the info is stored, or if there is a command/script to run and reconfigure?

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance!

bump...

anyone...

I've looked thru config files, and I am still not sure of the correct files to edit. It looks to me like there still might be remnants of the older methods for Google Voice left around on the system(this is a new install from scratch).

I say this as there seem to be quite a few config files. some seem to show routing Google Voice/Gizmo, others thru SipGate...etc...parking the call, etc....

In any case, I can not find the named account I used for GoogleVoice, I did find the config data for the GoogleTalk account though...

So, unless I hear something in the next day or so, I'll just re-install....which is a bit crazy, as I only want to change the GoogleVoice account information....:banghead:

Thx in advance

Not quite sure what you're asking, but your Google Voice credentials are stored in /etc/asterisk/jabber.conf.

I ran into a similar issue. You need to bring up gmail and enable the google talk app. Then go back to google voice and the link should be there.

At least that worked for me.

Great. That's exactly what I was asking.

The initial issue was that the GoogleVoice account was pointing to an invalid google chat account/setting on google's page.

So, I deleted the setting, but could not create a new pointer for inbound calls to Google chat....

Now I can create a new google account, and just change the PIAF settings.

Thank you!
