Hello first I want to apologise for my last message my screen reader was having truble with the interface of the board so I had to change the interface to the one that is text only. now for my 3 questions I installed piaf on my asterisk box I can switch distros with a simple opsion question 1. I set up in misc destinations *88 for ivrtest I want to remove this feature code where do I do this at? it won't let me remove the feature code. 2. how do I set my ivr to play moh to the caller instead of them hearing the ringing on there end? I want for example to press 2 they hear moh until I answer where do I set this up at? the third question I also want to set up streaming moh is there a gui way to install stuff to the piaf? eg so I can install mpg123 and install all the cool scripts? the consol via ssh is not blind friendly so am wanting alternitives to install stuff and update stuff. thanks for all the awesome help on the forums in the past and keep up the good work. Thanks Hank

1. You say you setup *88 for an IVR test. You don't say where or how. But, I would have to assume that you would go to the same place you went to set it up, in order to remove it. Usually, custom feature codes are created under Tools -> Custom Extensions.

2. To play music instead of ringing, at a Global system wide level, you would remove the 'r' from the Asterisk Dial Command Options field on the General Settings Page. To do this only for an IVR without changing the rest of the system will require that you write your own custom IVR, with a play music step in the dial plan, outside the FreePBX GUI.

3. There is a Streaming setup category under the Music on Hold section of the FreePBX GUI. I know that the streaming concept sounds cool and has a lot of appeal, but, I will warn you that it rarely works well or reliably and you must consider the bandwidth constraints when using VoIP. It seems that most people start playing with streaming and fall back to .wav or .mp3 files for music on hold.

VoIP and Asterisk are not easy. For me to do it without my sight is unthinkable. My hat is off to you.

I'm also intrigued by the seemingly high number of blind people that I encounter using Asterisk. Fascinating.

Hello I did that deleeted the misc destination and when I go to recreate it it shows *88 as being there it didn't remove the feature code. I had to redo the destination cause I accidently did something with the ivr. its acting like its in use when infact it isn't it won't let me use *88 again. its really frustrating me.

also I removed the r so all I have is: twTW it still rings it doesn't play music on hold when the caller presses a option on the ivr it rings instead. also on the ivr test problem I deleeted mist destination, applied the changes and when I go back to misc destinations I go to the featureshortcuts the *88 is still listed it says *88 ivrtest so that part never got removed. any help would be appreciated on these problems
