BUG 6867i - call forwarding indicator not working

Has anyone had any luck with getting some type of an indicator showing that calls are being forwarded to another extension or number.

So from what I have found while putting a client on HOLD for a few weeks is that I may need to purchase the RESTAPPS module to get call forwarding working with an indicator on the phone.
Or possibly utilize the basic xml config, which I am still trying to figure out before i purchase the Rest Apps from Free PBX.
