Aastra 57i & Orgasmatron...

Hi All,

New to the game only discovered PBXinaFlash this month after a friend at work dropped me a link... what can I say other than I'm hooked!

Let me start by saying thanks all for a great distro and community support

I have tried to read as much as I can before posting but now I am really confused (not hard for me )

I performed a clean PiaF 1.4 build and followed the instructions on the Orgasmatron build instructions(circa April). Everything worked out of the box and I was VERY impressed after having played with A*H distro and getting no where... softphones are working fine out and in etc and have numerous trunks setup with dialplans.

So after running a few weeks to get comfortable I have ordered a new Aastra 57i CT(waiting today for Fedex to bring me my toys as I type) so thought I'd get prep'd for it's arrival....

Here lies my problem as I'm not sure what I need to do, I read all the instructions on Nerdvittles first the artcle about adding support and then the PnP article was all set to start this when I search these forums and hit numerous posts about different solutions for the scripts etc i.e. it would seem we have the first approach defined under the Nerd artcles and maybe a newer solution straight form Aastra?

Am I all turned around??? what do I need to do in prep for the phones arrival??? which guide should I follow?

Sorry to be dumb I'm just learning (quite technically proficient but this is my first foray into VoIP)

Any help / direction would be greatly appreciated!

I answered my own question RTFM! had I read the documentation provided I would have not wasted anyones time... my apologies.

By the way these 57i's rock!
