[Solved] Aastra 57iCTs with Everex Orgasmatron II - not all buttons working.

I set my Aastra 57iCT phones back to factory defaults to enable them to get rid of the latest firmware which don't work with the Orgasmatron Edition.

The Asterisk is working great but some keys don't work.

=Doesn't Work=
Day/Night
Voice Mail
Directory
DND
Call Fwd

=Works=
Park Lot
AsteriDex
Icom
Speed Dial
Callers
Contacts
Reminders
Other Apps

Other things that don't work ?
I turned off some Call Forwarding stuff, but it still says it is turned on on the screen.
ie. CFWD All

Is there a Aastra 57i firmware that works best with the Orgasmatron ?
Mine is:
Default ROM
Application: 2.4.1.37 SIP

Boot ROM
2.0.1.1055

I got a newer 57i .... it has newer firmware.

I think the F number is the firmware.

Sorry Doc but that is inaccurate... they will work just fine...

You will need to backup your configs (mac.cfg) to use as reference on your master key layout (demo.prf) located in /var/www/html/aastra/asterisk

Also backup your aastra.cfg so you will have it for reference.

From your previous post the only real custom stuff you seem to be using is Asteridex, Contacts, and Reminders. Backup the corresponding php files (found by looking at previous button layouts in your mac.cfg) then add the keys back into the demo.prf.

Like I said before take a look at the documentation and the thread, it is really not that hard to get up and going.

Are these variables related ?

I changed my aastra firmware to the firmware around when the Orgasmatron II was released.

Now when I press a button (the same ones don't work) ... it says

INVALID URI.

Does anyone have a native aastra.cfg file ? or know where the file is in the Mondorestore.iso ?

And to top it off, update-scripts update-fixes has now taken them offline.

No Service.

:rolleyes5:
This is not going to be a good Monday morning.

I think I was having some SIP problems as I changed the passwords in 701.cfg and via the FreePBX GUI and they might not have matched for all locations. 5 minutes before the phones were going to start ringing, I got them going.
Of course their was no time for staff training but hey !

I also have started browsing the phones and have learned some interesting bits.

You can see why some buttons don't work.

Ward, thanks for the aastra.cfg, I'll look into that aspect.

Webview

How could two virtually identical aastra.cfg files, yield such different results ?

aastra57iCTwebviewXMLkeys.jpg

Ward, what does your Webview look like ?

THanks

:banghead: I edited the aastra.cfg with TextPad over the Samba share. I think that was adding some line breaks that were messing things up.

When I used nano to edit it, I was able to remove line breaks and My Aastra 57iCT is working .... DND, Call Forward, VoiceMail ... everything !

It's the little things that plague the newbies.

Thanks for helping everyone.
