I'm confused. Why would anyone use a phone other than the Aastra 6757i?

I bought a AAstra 6757i and I am using virtual box Piaf 2.0.6.4 and i want to connect the phone to Piaf. The problem is the instructions I have are out dated and I dont know where to go to download the instructions to get it talking to my box. I am using Google voice and the software app works. I would just like to add the phone. I will buy anything to get this running. I have been trying old instructions for weeks.

Thanks

Joel

Create an extension and configure the phone.

For the phone, go to Global SIP.

Your extension number goes in the Phone Number AND Authentication Name fields.
Your password goes in the password field.
IP address of PBX goes in Proxy Server AND Registrar Server fields.

That's it!

It's very simple. What have you tried already? See the post above. I'd personally use End Point Manager to configure handsets but if you don't want to you can just logon directly to the handset (using it's IP address and a web browser - http). If it's never been configured before I think Aastra phones have a default login of "admin" with 22222 as the password.
