According to a couple voip-info wiki's you can program a pause into the Aastra speedial using a ,

Except this doesn't seem to work. I need to program a button to dial another users mailbox (ie *98,extension,password).

Is there a better way?

Try setting your speed-dial up this way:
Code:
*98#,,123#,,45678#
You need the # to tell the system there are no more numbers being entered. I found I had to use double commas instead of single commas to allow enough time between the voicemail prompts.

You should also be able to use:
Code:
*97#,,45678#
as *97 assumes you mean the extension you're calling from.

EDIT: This works for me on firmware 2.6.0.2010.

That makes us even, Lorne. I hadn't thought about using *98123#. ;) I learn something new (usually more) every day on the forum!

I'll have to wait until after hours as well; I do have the latest firmware loaded though so I'll try to check tonight.

Confirmed the same problem with the 55i. Does anyone know how to report a firmware bug to Aastra? PM to user aastra1 on this forum has gotten no response.

Lorne

I know people. They're probably not the right people but they might know the right people. I'll tell them.

I have a ticket # 508289. They're saying they can't reproduce and asked if live dial pad is enabled or disabled on the phone. I'll have to check mine later; would you also check yours pls Lorne?
